Sebastian Wehrfritz was born in Zweibrücken in 1989. At the age of five, he began learning the piano with his father, and a year later, he began lessons with Professor Inge Rosar. At seven, he also began studying the violin, receiving further instruction, first from Professor Köhler and later from Ms. Kramarova. At sixteen, he began piano lessons as a junior student at the Saarbrücken University of Music and Performing Arts under Professor Anne Borg. A year later, he became a junior student at the Mannheim University of Music and Performing Arts under Professor Roman Nodel, majoring in violin.
Since 2009, he has studied piano with Prof. Paul Dan and violin with Prof. Roman Nodel at the Mannheim University of Music and Performing Arts, earning a Bachelor of Arts (artistic/pedagogical focus). In 2013, he completed his Bachelor of Arts (artistic/pedagogical focus) with top marks, majoring in piano, and in spring 2014, he completed his Bachelor of Arts (artistic focus) with a major in violin.
Since 2010, he has worked as a violinist with the Mannheim Philharmonic, where he also served as a teacher for the Junior Philharmonic project. He has also performed regularly with various orchestras in the Mannheim/Heidelberg area and undertaken concert tours in Europe, the USA, and China.
He has gained experience as a keyboardist in numerous projects with pop, rock, metal, and various cover bands, and has worked extensively in the percussive field. For the past two years, he has increasingly focused on beatboxing, applying it to various crossover projects. In 2013, he and his crossover duo won first prize at the Mannheim Duo and Moderation Competition. Since 2014, he has regularly participated in "Classic meets Electro" projects.
He has worked as a private teacher for four years, teaching both violin and piano to students of various ages. From 2012 to 2014, he worked at three music schools in Mannheim and the surrounding area, and since August 2014, he has been a piano teacher at the Cantonal School in Trogen. There, he also works as a recording director and project supervisor in the school's own sound and recording studio.
In April 2016, he organized and led the first piano master class at the Cantonal School in Trogen.
Since 2019, Sebastian Wehrfritz has been a member of the music working group of the Appenzell Ausserrhoden Cultural Association.
